I was the 2nd and 4th owner of my truck, and have a pretty good story to go with it.
My dad bought it brand new in Dec of 89 for 19000 and some change. I remember going to the dealership in Lake Charles, Louisiana with him to take delivery. I was 8 years old at the time and started a long love affair with Dodges that night. My dad was a lifelong Ford man who bought his first Dodge for one reason, Cummins. (BTW he has not owned anything but since.)
I learned to drive in that truck, learned to back up a trailer and hauled my 1st gooseneck and camper with it. In 2001 dad bought his '02 2500 and gave me the '90. I kept it until 2003 and for some unknown reason I caught a stupid spell and traded it in on a new truck.
5 years passed and I regretted selling that truck from the day I traded it in.
I got engaged in Dec of 2005 and was to be married Dec 1 2007. I got home from work one day and my wife suprised me with my wedding present, a couple of weeks shy of the wedding. She had tracked down the person who had bought my truck from the dealer I traded it to and bought it back for me as a wedding present. I couldnt believe that I had actually got my truck back. I met the guy who had bought it and he was happy to see it return to the original family and if it wouldnt have been under these cirmumstances he wouldnt have sold it. He had also kept it original and it looked just like the day I traded it in. Needless to say, its more of a family keepsake now and for sentimental reasons I could never part with it. Ive had offers for well more than it is worth but I just cannot and will not part with it. I just gotta say I have a great wife and I thank her so much for everything shes done and given me. I couldnt ask for better.
One day Ill give it to my son. He already loves to ride in Ole Red. Makes my dad proud too to still be able to drive it around town and everyone knows the old truck. Funny how you can get so attached to something.
Heres a quick pic...

I'm the second owner of my 1993 D250 LE, my grandfather bought it on Dec. 31 1993 for 28K and we still have the original window sticker that says 36K. The tan and maroon pick up has a total of 124K miles on it, only 80K when i received it, its in great shape, little rust on the roof and a few dents and scratches but nothing major. only upgrades are fuel screw tweaked and a single 6" stack. i will never drive a gas after driving this truck, maybe something a little less stiff on the road but never a gas
