I bought mine from my high school teacher who was the original owner. I have all the paper work for it window sticker sold sticker and even the card that was attached to the key. it was bought in Feb 14 1992 for $20,912.24. I bought it in Novenmber of 2004 with 146,525k for $5300. No a bad deal if I say so myself. I'v put only 2000k since i bought it cause I dont drive very far to school, or any where for that matter. It's a CUMMINS and I'd buy nothin less.

greg, i was gonna make the same comment, but scrolled down and saw you had already done it!
i flagged down a guy today with a nice looking 91.5 W250 today. i asked if he was the original owner and he said he was looking at a brand new 92 W350 dually club cab all the bells and whistles for $32k, a guy pulled him aside as he left the dealer to think about it and said, "heard you were looking for a cummins" so he went and drove the above 91.5 with 40k on it and asked how much? the responce "whatever i owe on it" when he asked how much that was the guy called the the bank and they told him $14,100. they went to the bank and he wrote out a check for $14K and the owner threw in the $100 and he walked away with the title. and guys are still paying $14k for these trucks today! he's got 247k on it now original clutch and he said it outpulls his 95 all day long. when i told him about DTR he said he didn't even know how to turn a computer on, lol. (sorry it's to long)

Had a 91 Dually w/ frame cut and extended 3ft for 12 ft custom bed. Father in-law has it now w/ over 400,000 miles now and still lights off on first try. I rebuilt hte trans at 300,000 and the rear end got a reseal. The engine has never been opened up or the injection pump. Lots and lots of maintenance though. The front end has been rebuilt countless times because of road conditions on the ranch. Still going strong.

I orderd mine from a Dodge dealer in sept 92. Came in Dec 6,92. 93 W350 4x4 cummins duelly black with air. 24,933.00 -dodge discount -1,275.00 =23,658.00. The dealer gave me 5,000 for a 1936 ford pickup I restored. All I can remember is that I paid 16,997 with the sales tax. Paid cash for the old girl. I put a tar tank on the back with a airless sprayer and went out and made a good living with her.I'm retired now do to the VOC's in the materal that I used for the last 20+ years. I got the old girl in my garage now and going through it top to bottom.Getting her ready to take a trip to Kansas from NY for some Pheasant hunting in the fall.
I always squirted it down with open chain oil to keep the salt from up north getting to her and it paid off with very little rust. she'll be sporting a new corvette black paint job very soon. I owe it to this one tuff truck that paid for the house and two kids college education. Have fun rebuilding yours !!!

I got mine in January of 89. I needed to replace my 77 Chevy construction truck with 287,000 miles on it. Never wanted a Dodge, but being an old farm boy knew that a Cummins was the top of the field. The dealer had this LE that was way too fancy for my use but, since it had a very low reading oil pressure guage there weren't a lot of people looking at it. Plugged a manual guage in the oil filter and saw what it was really like and was sold. Other than having more body noise new than my old wornout Chevy, it's been an absolutely wonderful vehicle. Minimum repairs, it just keeps chugging away.

I'm the 3rd owner. My father bought it from the original owner 6 years ago for 5200 bucks with 75K on it. He got sick of working on it, and i bought him an in bed tool box for his Tundra and he gave me the truck. I think it cost me like $450 for the box. It was completely stock when i got it, i've fixed most of the problems it had, and gave it new life with the Mods i've made. Now he get's mad every time he drives it.. It's twice the truck it used to be....He keeps telling me he wants it back....LOL

2nd owner of my 85 originally ordered by a very good friend of mine, and we all thought he would be buried in it! I have the original Maroney sticker. 16,385.96. I rode in this truck when it was 2 days old. It is nice knowing it was taken care of (babied?) it's whole life. He now owns a 2008 Cummins Crew Cab Dually.

When I bought mine in 1992, there was a dealer add-on on them. Unless you wanted to wait for an ordered one, you had your dealer try to find a dealer with one on the premises. We had one located, made the deal on it, but another dealer hijacked it before we could get it. We then found mine, and did the same thing to someone who was wavering. $25,000. A few years ago, I got my '04 and caved in to "Why in the heck do you need two of those damned things." I sold it - for a little while. I had the buyers check in my hand. $6,000. But I couldn't go through with it. I raised my son in the front seat of that truck, going hunting and fishing from Alaska to the Baja and many trips to Idaho. He filled up my cup holders several times with something spilled. Long story short: I went and got it back. Thankfully, the buyer let me have it. So, now I am tearing it down, after 200k. Everything's right on. Changing rings, bearings, and gaskets, and miscellaneous stuff, like O rings. I have replaced the transmission (My fault)and added a transmission cooler and transmission temperature gauge. We used to pull out on Baja 1 in Loreto, with 700 hell miles to go, pulling my boat, with the camper on, and i would always say, "OK, Dodge, hold together and Cummins will get us home. If we had broken down in some places on that road, with a young son along, we would have to have left it. We always made it, but the trailer came back with three wheels and one fender once. Always left something for the Mexicans. Someday I hope my son will want to keep it for his son.

What a cool story! Probably does not count, but I worked at a Dodge dealer as a Tech in Montana in 1988-1992. I remember the first one we received. A Blue 4x4 (they all were up there) (4x4's, not Blue) 5 speed standard cab. Oh my God, I was in love. I installed "Factory" A/C on that rig when it was purchased. They never orderd cars, or trucks with A/C, we put it in if the buyer. wanted it. I will never forget it. When I PDI'ed that truck, I just could not believe the torque, and how smoothly the power came on. I was driving a 71 Crew long box with a 511 cid wedge. That truck had a ton of power, but that Cummins was awesome. It brings back memories of the things we did to them. The biggest complaint? They turn tighter to the right than the left (I think that is right) I remeber calling Chrysler Tech on that one. They finally came out with a TSB stating it was "normal" 2nd biggest complaint was the rough ride. Factory fix? take one leaf from the front spring. Softened them up some. I remember the fix for the sagging doors was a 4x4 and a floor jack! And, I changed a lot of Valve spring keepers on recall... OOPS! I mean "Campaign" They wanted us to pull the heads for that fix, I had a ton of gaskets, coolant etc. It took a while before they figured out you didnt need to pull the head! I never pulled one, not one! Those were good times, but I didnt know it then. (wish I still had all those head gaskets!)
