Another quick guage question...can you help me out

hey guys like most of you know i sold my 1st gen, but my brother has a 92 CTD that he is trying to fix up so at least we have one in the family. he doesn't know much about them so i'm helping him out as much as i can. he wants guages for Christmas and i have a couple of quick questions....

1-I'm going with glowshift guages because they did great for me and fit in my budget for a Christmas gift for him. are there any 3 guage A pillar pods made for the 1st gen besides the glowshift pod?

2-if there is not a 3 guage pod, does anyone still make a 3 guage pod like Banks use to?

3-and finally if i can't find a 3 guage pod to fit, will the single guage pod that goes on the steering column work for his even though its not a tilt wheel. it looks like the exact same column, just not sure if the tilt column had anything to do with it.

sorry about the long post, just trying to help my brother out, and as we all know the 1st gen guys have always liked helping each other out

I have seen posts where guys are saying that they cant find A-Pillar pods for first gens anymore at all...
I beleive you can use the Banks 2nd Gen steering column pod tho, its a direct fit.
sure someone with better info will chime in here shortly tho..

i don't think anyone makes a 3-gauge a-pillar pod for the first gens. but i could be wrong as i've never seen them or researched any. autometer and geno's garage have 2-gauge a-pillar pods that are cheap (geno's is actually running a special... buy 1, 2, 3 and so on amount of gauges and get a mounting pod 1/2 off. normally they run about $30). as for the steering column pod, i believe it has to be a tilt column in order to fit. finally, as long as the gauges are 2 1/16" (some will just call them 2"), they'll fit the pods.

the steering column DOES NOT have to be tilt for the 2nd gen column pod to work, had a steering column pod on the old 91 non tilt. worked perfect

Autometer makes a 2 gauge pillar pod for 1st gen.. get it at www.genosgarage.com

DO NOT get the glowshift pillar pod for 1st gen,, the angle is horrible and you'll wanna send it back
