I almost have the 1990 12v out of the 95 ford E350. Its a tight fit even with the VE, probably because the builder used the wrong style exhaust manifold.

Regardless, its coming out for a rebuild and I hoped I could ask a few questions here..

Eh hem.. first newbie question.

Which head bolts are best to attach a short lenth of chain to for lifting? I was thinking the front half of the engine would be heavier than the back so pick from between #4 and #3 and strap the front for angle adjustment? I imagine it probably says in the service manual but time isnt on my side right now.

I just strong arm it out!

 

Sure hope this works out after I replace the boom bolt with a longer one.
