Has anyone heard of someone putting an Allison 545 in a first gen truck? I've heard of them in a hummer so I assume a 545 would fit in a first gen. Anyone know???

 

I was looking into a conversion but was told it wasent worth the trouble trying to fit it etc. Look in the general section and a ways down theres some info on allison trannies. maybe this will help.

IMO, you are time and money ahead to drop in a performance tranny. The medium duty Allisons are way over-rated and a money pit to boot.
