YES, YES and YES.....Get that Fram out of there and always run a good quality filter. When I changed all the filters on my truck it cost me about $100 for everything.

Dodge recommended FLEETGUARD oil/fuel filters. cummins/Mopar filters are also made by fleetguard. the best place to get fleetguard filters is a Case IH dealer. (Good Cummins Spec. Oil there too.) I have heard that WIX is supposed to be a great filter as well. Napa filters are made by Wix.

I have done a lot of reading on the DTR and decided that I wanted to run engine oil with the CL-4 rating. Some like the newer CJ-4 but I still like the older additives for my motor. You can get the CL-4 in the 5 gal pail from walmart, think it the "Super Tech" brand, just check the label, cost is about $40-50.

As Thrashingcows said, DO NOT BUY FRAM ANYTHING!!!!! Well, not if you want your engine to run clean and last anyway. About half the time you get what you pay for, and this is definately the case with these filters. They are . As both he, (T.cows) and Randy said, WIX/Napa or Fleetguard are good, as is Amsoil. I'm sure there are others, but any of those will see you right.

Until September of this year, I believe. After that, no more. Better buy up what you can!

I've heard that fleetguard moved to mexico now and its harder to find their filters and that there quality has gone down. Anyone heard this? I've now gone to amsoil oil and oil filter and also an amsoil dry air filter. I run napa/wix fuel filters though.

I tried a ProDry filter from AFE and it didnt fit my airbox. Think twice if you want to try that route.

This only applies to oil filters, their air filters are OK.

No. It's bottled by major brand oil companies. It meets spec and it's not bad oil.

I run Baldwins and usually use the Farm store brand CI-4 rated oil.
