Greg, looking good! I forgot til about an hour after you left, you were 2 miles from Cummins.
My truck went good with those sticks.
Dipstick tube? Just put a piece of fuel hose on it with a couple clamps.

Well, it runs and runs very smooth. Set a beer can on valve cover and idle it down to 400rpms and it's jsut as smooth as can be. Unfortunately, durning a nasty wind storm while the truck was apart, my nearly new radiator had something big and heavy fall on it. Got the truck running earlier this week and when the t-stat opened, steam everywhere Between the alternator and now the radiator, I'm jsut too tapped out to continue with the project right now I'm very impressed with how the engine runs and I'm excited to put some boost to it, but I don't trust the radiator enough to waste 3 gallons of coolant on it.

Got a rad shop nearby that can solder up the radiator for you? Should only be $50 or so.

Some will solder it for free, especially if you have it done at the shop you bought it from.

So I drove my truck today I've got a bunch of loose ends to wrap up and still need to purchase an alternator. The tappet cover gasket didn't have the proper seals for the retaining bolts, so a couple of them are leaking. I may just put RTV behind the weird washers...Got my radiator patched up for 60 bucks. He said it didn't flow as well as it should have. I didn't have hardly any oil in the antifreeze and the radiator is only 1.5 years old. Oh well, I've never had any cooling problems, so back in it went. My radiator cap is bad and will be replaced tomorrow. The rubber seal is dry rotted and won't hold the 16psi it's rated for. I've got 1 3'' downpipe made from 3...never should have started the home-brew 4'' dp....gonna weld up some sort of exhaust tomorrow. Just the DP now...it's loud, but it's nice to hear her purr Just wanted to update everyone so you didn't think I gave up on the 'ol girl Pics and vids tomorrow.

Boy, you don't miss a trick, do you?! I don't think JR will loan me one of his 6'' turnouts now that he's got a new dually. I will accept donations, otherwise I'm tieing back into my 5'' tailpipe.....

Can't wait for you to put some major boost (and heat) in that head. If it seems to hold up, I may have to get one (as soon as I sell my 1941).

Hehe, yeah, hasn't been daily driven since early November I'm looking for a new job and have had to turn down a bunch of on-site mechanical side work 'cause I have no way to move my tools and compressor around.

Yes, she is a beast, isn't she? Once all 6 tires are the same size and the tailgate is back on, I'll be pretty excited. Oh, Dave, I got that filter and adapter you suggested Once I shake the truck down, it's going on
