ACH delivers! H/G Part II

Well, the jury is still out untill it runs, but so far I've been pleased with ACH. 6 days after I clicked 'buy it now' I've got a new head on my living room floor$490 beans out the door...hard to beat, if it works ACH contacted me twice with my tracking #..first time was the day it went out, then a courtesy e-mail today reminding me of my tracking # and that my head was scheduled to be delivered today So the truck goes into the garage tomorrow to come apart. Now for the picsSorry for the lame quality--you'd think a 700 dollar digital camcorder would snap a better shot

Crated up:

That's what I want!

UPS lady used a dolly--I don't blame her!

All nestled in:

Yeah, what a POS! It takes good video, but the snapshot feature is lame at best. But, my digi cam is out in the Dodge and it's 5 degrees and I just inherited my wifes' bronchitis

Also awaiting the verdict. Why is the model a 6BTAA? What's the extra "A"? Don't you technically have a 6BT? Is there a difference? Good luck and thanks for being our guinea pig! Feel better. ( after its installed prolly)

I'll get some good pics later this morning. We're gearing up for a pretty big snowstorm today, so the truck might not even make it to the garage The casting is a lot nicer than I expected. Someone else had mentioned that ACH cleans them up when they get them--must be true. As much as I'd like to do some porting, I think I'll just gasket match and drop it on. I'd like some practice time on my junk head before I go ruining a good thing.

I'm not sure what the extra 'a' is. Technically, yes, I have a 6bt. AFAIK, other than the original designation of being non-aftercooled, I'm not aware of any differences. Looks like a good piece with lots more meat than the old one. Pics after breakfast!

Hope you get her running. Some good grease and oil/diesel fumes will make you feel better.

Any new head should be 7mm injector bores. There's a reason they reduced the size and Greg knows all to well why.
