AC evaporator drainage port?

Where is it? Inside the cab or in the engine location on the passenger side? I have water damping the passenger side on my 2001 Ram 2500 5.7 diesel. I've read here the same problem and the recommended fixes but I can't find exactly where this drainage port is located

I can only speak for the early trucks but the drain for the heater box is outside. Passenger side, firewall just below the blower motor. I don't think there would be much of a difference between them and the 2nd gen trucks so it could likely be in or near the same location on your 2001.

Found it

A little perseverance and a step stool and there it was sticking out of the firewall below canister, a part of the AC system. It wasn't plugged as I hoped it would be, but I went a head and install a short plastic tube that fits snugly in the port. No resources here in Panama if it's leaking water from inside from some AC component and AC is a must 😟

Odds are good you got leaves plugging it from the inside. If so, you have 2 choices.
1. Take half the truck apart to get the heater box out, open and clean it.
2. go get a 4" marine scupper, install it on the air box under the dash, and screw off the cap to reach in and clean it at will. If you get one with a clear cap you can inspect it without even doing that.

Are you sure that it's water? It could be a leaking heater core...Mark
