abs plug picture
still chasing electrical problems... i have tried to search for a picture of the abs plug behind the glove box but i don't seem to be able to find it.
i see there is a gray plug in there, but there are a lot of wires connected to it.
whatever it is, it shows when its shorting on the ammeter, its vibration related not rpm, and it sometimes blows the fuse i have set up to the toggle that runs ignition power since this problem fried my ignition switch.
i need the truck to get me to work and the regularity with which it is losing dash power and dying on the road is not going to cut it. so now i'm at the point of basically lopping of limbs, one piece at a time.

i saw that picture already, but i figured it looked more like a diagnostic tap than a junction plug.
i went through everything again today and found a defective fuse holder on the toggle circuit that provides dash power.
there are still some scary fluctuations at the voltmeter, looking like a random short, but at least i got about a 100 miles out of it today without it dieing... also i can run the a/c again... don't know how or why... it was blowing fuses before.
hopefully i can get a few more months out of this one and then maybe upgrade to a 2nd gen.
this truck was smashed up at some point in the past, i think maybe these problems are a result of that.
sometimes the better part of valour is knowing when you're beat.
