!985 Crew Cab Lean???

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum. This site is a gold mine....

I am hoping someone with more experience than me can help me with a problem that is driving me crazy. I have a 1985 crew cab, ex- Air Force truck, it is a 360, auto with dana 60's and a 205. The truck has 62,000 miles on it. I replaced the stock leaf springs with Skyjacker 2" springs and I am running 295/70/17's. I also replaced the cab mounts with poly from Energy Suspension. The truck never sat straight, the drivers side front is about 1 1/2 inches lower than the passenger side. I have measured from the ground to the bottom of the spring pack on both sides and from the front spring bolt to the bottom shackle bolt. Everything is with an 1/8".
I can see no indication that the frame is bent, there is no rust to speak of, the truck is from Texas. I run exactly 40 psi in the tires.
What gives, 1 1/2" seems like alot to me.
Someone did tell me that there was a service bulletin that calls for adding a shim to the low side, does this sound right?

I will be doing an engine swap this summer, currently looking for a donor truck. I would appreciate any feedback...this is driving me crazy.

I know a local fellow who years ago took a Dodge crew cab 4WD four wheeling a short distance down a rocky creek bed and twisted the frame. He ended up junking the truck. He felt that the length of the wheelbase combined with having one of the rear wheels in a hole and the opposite front wheel up on a high spot caused this.

That's normal, just more of an issue with the Skyjacker softrides. They sag quicker. The truck is much heavier on the driver side due to the fuel, battery, steering and driver. So the driver side spring wears down faster.

Be careful where you measure to understand what it's doing. Measure from the spring eye bolt to the ground, and from several other places on the frame and body to the ground on both sides on a flat level surface. If you look at it carefully enough you'll probably be able to see a flatter arch on the driver side spring.

I'm going to take a few more measurements. I thought about the battery and fuel, but 1 1/2 inches seems like an awful amount of drop.

I had to add a leaf to the left front. Not too impressed with the Skyjackers anymore. They ride nice, but don't last. Mine are only 4 years old.

Yes our trucks {crewcab's do lean on down on the driver's side I had to add 2 spring's to the driver's side pack to get it to sit level .if you look at it from the rear it makes the truck look funny going down road also .just wait till you do the swap then add a couple leaf's everything will be fine .

Just so you know mine does the same. I have tried to take out springs and add to make it leval but now I said screw it. It has been that way ever since I bought the truck. I have driven it form CO to VA twice now and have put on 20,000 miles on it this year that way and it still works. SO I just drive it and have fun.

I wish I could let it go...but I just can't do it. Its the Seinfeld in me I guess. A 1st generation crew with the right stance looks edit.
I talked to a friend of mine that has a body shop, he said he would look it over this weekend. If this truck was in questionable condition I'd let it go, but it's straight, rust free and not all hacked up. I'll let you guys know what I find out....

Same here

mine started doing it when the springs were 4-5months old, called skyjacker and they gave me another (only 1spring) but then it happened again about 4months later and this is without taking her wheeling! i didnt bother giving them another call, i'll just have to get custom springs later on.

If yours is sagging rite now im sure its gonna get worse with the cummins swap
