98 turbo in a 92
On a stock truck the HX35 and 12cm housing should cool EGT's slightly. Depending on your truck year you should be seeing 14-20psi stock. The HX35 will provide more air, and as long as you don't get it out of its map (which you won't on a stock truck) you should be fine. And the 12cm housing will help spoolup without negative effects on a stock truck.
I did thid swap a few months ago. You need to shorten the downpipe about 1 1/4". You also need to swap the oil line fitting over from the H1C. The spool speed is wicked as well. For extra fun pick up a boost elbow for 94 up trucks from TST, I think it changes the pressure to about 32 PSI out of the box.

But like I said, I pull heavy, don't want to melt anything.
I may try this on the 92' if I can come up with a good used turbo. I like this idea more than the idea of adding fuel. The 92' sometimes grosses as high as the upper 30's combined weight, so I really got to be carefull. The 92' doesn't ever pull much more than the 24' stock trailer which it does decent with but that is only 8,000-10,000lbs at the most when it has a couple horses or cows in it. It needs a better converter awful bad, but the tranny that's in it is holding together real well, once it goes south someday I am gonna get a Dave Goerand tranny and converter for it and then may consider the turbo upgrade?
I really like the idea of this, more power without pouring more coal to it. I don't need much, but a little more would be nice, especially on the 92' as it gets worked pretty hard.
