has anyone had to remove fuel filter housing because it was leaking and how

yes. first you take fuel water separator off then you have to find like a wide punch or wide screw driver because there is a slotted nipple holding on the fuel heater.there is a o ring style gasket on top which is most likely your problem. either that or your fuel heater cracked. did you recently change the fuel water sep? sometimes when you get the old water sep on really tight and then go to take it off it loosens up the nipple with it and that might be why yours is leaking.
