so today at 5am me my buddy and his dad went to philly( thats was intresting 4 rednecks in the heart of philly) but any way it was because they found this 1989 cummins thier for $2000. so we went looked at it. and it was ruff but fixeble and the turbo was pooring out oil like thier was tomaro. but they ended up talking the guy down to 1500 for a 89 4x4 auto with 191k on it. now it does have some rust on the wheel wells and the turbo is leaking oil through a seal bad. but it runs and moves just fine. what do you guys think? heres some pics, oh yea and its a one owner truck.

 

$1500 plus a turbo sounds lie a good deal to me.

I saw that one on phi. craigslist...looked like a great deal to me ,and my dad were actually gonna go look at it but we knew it would be rusty. but for a "BUCK" truck it would of been good for the drags

guy didn't mention anything about the turbo leakin in the ad. lol

i was wonderin if some one was gona catch that his dads a chevy man. but yea he said the turbo went bad after he put it on craigslist. so hopfully here in the next few months we'll have anothier first genner to come out to the meets and what not.

 

yea that'll be awesome.

tell him to put an hx35/12 on it and crank the pump up and run it at the drag races at the BUCK next year...prolly be very competitive in 4x4 and would have the biggest crowd voting for it. lol

Great purchase! I saw that up on Criagslist the other day too, and thought it was a good deal. Even with a leaky turbo and rust, $1500 is a smoking deal! Congrats!
