91 CTD Remodel

I hate typing so here is a quick rundown. I bought this truck for a high mpg ranch truck and then changed my mind a few times about what I was gonna do with it but it will be a ranch truck with a feed hopper on the back in central Texas. This is what I started with.

Nice!!! you want mpgs then swap a 518 o/d tranny in there, with the 3.07 gearing it would be 22mpg + !!!!

your little kid is pretty cool too

Thanks my boy really enjoys working on it every Sunday after church. The other day I was busy doing somthing and noticed he had the turn signal lever and was ripping it up and down as fast and hard as he could, I'm surprised it did'nt fall off.

We will stick with the 727 cause it will hardley ever see the hwy. I did have a set back today though, I noticed that the injection pump has started leaking

locally I can get the grill at interstate auto body and keystone automotive or the dealer. Interstate and keystone were about 65-70 dollars and the dealer was 388.00 if I remember correctly.

hi justin again
i will most likely do this to my truck once i get my greenhouse built, how long did it take you to strip the fenders/grill/hood and interior- thats all easy stuff to do just nuts and bolts and a loud stero needed right? also inside the cab all the plastic trim, and foam top- did you remove that or leave it in- im leaning toward junking it and looking at bare steel because i want to paint the inside of the cab- what do you think?
thanks justin

Yeah it's all screws and I removed all the trim including the headliner and will not be putting it back in. I will install the headliner out of my donar which is just a piece of leather looking thing that screws to the top. Also I orderd a rubber floor mat from auto interiors that came with a new matt for each floor pan and the hump. This is going to be a basic ranch truck plus every interior piece was either cracked or completly broken in half which seems kinda odd to me cause I really don't see why it should be maybe there is a lot of flex in the body and thats what cracked them.
