No worries nonrev, I figured it was an auto correct or a typo.

T-man just likes to bust my chops.... It looks like I will get called Olive and he will get called a punk at the show, just like a couple of 12 year old kids would do. It will be good for a few laughs.

Well. I could call you Lary, but I'd never hear from ya again.

The RC is loaded up and we are ready to head out in the morning.
I am looking forward to seeing the DTR crew and other MOPAR friends at the show.

Great summer of cruising around in the RC.
I just pressured washed it down and have it in the shop drying off.
We are expecting enough snow tonight that the salt trucks might be out.

I will hit it will a little Fluid Film in any dry spots here in the next few days.

I have a small list of things to improve on and fix over the winter, but basically it has been a super reliable rig since the major swap was done.

I let it warm up for 20 Min after washing it down and pulled it into the shop and instantly dropped the oil.
It only had 2700 miles on the last oil change over the summer, but I will do my yearly oil swap anyway.
Fresh FleetGuard filter and Valvoline 15W 40 for the old girl to follow.

Glad you got the baby away. I'd be mad at you, if that truck ever saw a salted road. MCDonalds French fries salt is okay..... But no road salt..

Charlotte helped me dig the RC out of the back of the shop before dinner.
It fired up like it was running earlier today. I fixed a few of the minor things on the winter to do list tonight after dinner.
I also tightened up a tiny bit of slack in the throttle linkage.
I will put in it on insurance tomorrow and start driving it again.

I have been driving the RC a bit now that it is summer here in VT. It is running well.
Tonight after dinner, I screwed the fuel screw in a full turn followed by backing out the low idle screw several turns and adjusting the throttle rod. That got the idle back to where it should be.
I then swapped the custom made intake horn out for another custom made intake horn I had aluminum welded up out of a 24V intake horn and a left over broken 90* turbo elbow. It has a smoother flow and a wider mouth than the last custom job. It HAS to be better at flowing air. I also swapped out the OEM grid heater block for a custom made grid heater delete block as I never drive the RC in the winter.

I will check things out tomorrow...gives me an excuse to take the family out to the diner for breakfast a few towns away to test things out....

A little more fuel and a little more air, I will see what it gets me. The EGT are pretty low so a little more fuel as long as it runs clean should be fine.
I got too much smoke under throttle for my taste with an aftermarket [THD] fuel pin when I threw one in last summer. So I am looking of a little more power without the extra smoke.

Hey Ollie,

I'll take a bacon and egg sammich to go. Better put the pedal to the metal so me sammich doesn't get cold.

Do you happen to have a picture of that intake horn? I'd like to see the differences...

Oliver probably does but he has to send the pic through several sources first to be vetted and verified that they are real and not infected with any malware....and then someone has to graciously host those pics for him and post them up so we can all see them....

...or he's just a techno feeb when it comes to posting up pics....

I did send some pictures of the intake horn upgrade to Thrashing to be vetted. If they pass his quality control and he has the time he might post them.

The RC has been running great. It was a little strong on initial smoke after gear changes, so I swapped out the '92 lighter spring rate AFC spring for an earlier NON intercooled AFC that is a noticeably stiffer spring. It worked great to control low end smoke without adjusting the star wheel.

I noticed the drivers door trim was getting loose so I popped it off yesterday before it flew off on the road. All the factory plastic clips, that they use until '91when the trim become a stick on style, where broken. I pulled all the clips, cleaned up the dirt and such. I will dab a little touch up paint on a few pin head sized spots that had rubbed through the paint then re attach the trim with some good OEM plastic clips I have saved through the years.
