518 to 47rh

i was told that you can convert the 518 to the 47rh. do you guy's know of what inturnal transmission parts i need to do this? i know i need the engine bell housing adapter, and 2nd gen starter, 2nd gen flex plate, lockup converter, trans input shaft, valve body, and a way to lockup the converter. does anyone know where a good place to buy parts at too. thanks guy's

I asked this same question a while back and I don't think anyone knows where to purchase the parts. Well no-one that saw the thread anyway. If you go on ebay you'll find lockup parts for the A518. Prob. is that I have no idea if the parts are really the correct parts or heavy duty enough or compatible with the rest of the original parts. I'm just holding out to find a 47RH. It would be cool if someone figured it all out though!

By the time you bought all the parts needed -
you'd have the price of a 47RH which is designed that way from the beginning...

Find a decent 47RH core. Tear it down, build it back with better parts.

You'll have between $2500 and $4500 ( depending on how much you can do yourself ) in it and you'll be happier.

I skipped the TC and some internal parts and core+parts+labor ~~ $3000....
Over a year timewise - - limited budget
