47rh trans question
47rh trans question
I was reading some info on here and I believe the trans that I got form ATS is a 47rh. Just to make sure the 47rh looks like the 518a but on the passenger side it has webbing sticking out that is part of the trans case? If it is a 47rh what do I have to change to the inside of the trans to make it work with a lock up converter?

sounds like ATS just used the newer style case (47RH) and then more than likely used the non-lock up internals (valvebody, pump and input shaft) from the a518. For the most part, the tranny's are identical internally, and exteranlly, main difference were a few beefed up internal parts, which can be swapped in, and the changes needed for the lock up.
It dose not have a lock up converter in it now. Was toying with the idea of putting one in and wondered what was required. I know about what needs to be done externally just not internally.
Thanks for the help
