47rh shift q's
First of all, thanks to you who wrote the stickies on swapping these things in.
I've got one in mine and the guy I bought it from had already put pressure switches in to control OD and Lock Up. There are couple of things I don't like about it. One is the lock up happens around 30 mph, just after shifting into 3rd. This causes a little bit of a lug and since I'm accelerating, it feels like a pretty hard shift. I know I can adjust it to lock up later, which leads me to my other issue. I get the same kind of hard shift feeling when it shifts into OD at 50 mph. Furthermore, if I let off the accelerator abruptly it will immediately downshift to 3rd, even at 70 mph.
My two questions are:
Where should I have the lock up kick in? I was thinking around 42-45 mph. Or should I have it lock up after overdrive?
Should I let the PCM run OD instead of the pressure switch? If I do, I can anticipate the shift and let off the accelerator and relieve the hard shift (assuming I'm locked up in 3rd).
Has anybody any experience with these shifting issues? I don't want to tear anything up.
