First off I'd like to comment on how great i think this site is. This is the first post i've made but i've learned alot and received a lot of help just threw reading threads.
My question is....I'm looking for a 47rh to swap into my pickup, but having problems locating one. The closet one I've found is missing the OD unit. I think i remember reading somewhere on here that the unit from my A518 with fit that for the 47rh?? What should i be looking at paying?

 

price all depends on the condition of the trans. And yes you can use the OD section of your A518 on the 47rh.

 

Another question could you use a 2WD 47RH for a conversion in an A518 4WD truck? Could you unbolt the O/D section of the A518 4WD to install on the 47RH 2WD? Also, would the transfer case bolt up to the 2WD 47RH with success or would you really need to go out and buy a 4WD 47RH for a conversion into a 4WD A518 truck? Thanks for any advice.
