4" exhaust for 89 CTD

Just doing some preliminary shopping. Does this sound right? $425 for a turbo back exhaust to the connection point of the first stock muffler location? Sounds like a rip. Salesman said they charge a premium because of the nature of the bends near the transfer case. Over $400 for that....is there a better way? Gheez! Truck is all stock.

For about the same price, I got a 4" turbo back to tail from Stan's. Might want to give them a call: 1-800-962-6467

Here's their spiel:

ALL HARDWARE IS INCLUDED.

RETAIL $475.00

is that what it runs? up in the fours? mine is a 4X4 so....does that matter some. More turns and dips? Just sounds real expensive.

I'm probably going to get Stans kit pretty soon. They are located pretty close to me so I might just have to stop by their shop.

The kit's actually $495, $550-ish shipped, doesn't matter to me though, still gonna order one soon, possibly from a distributor if he can get me a better price.

When I did mine I found what I thought was a better deal but am not happy with it and wish I would have went with the STAN's system. I have read allot of exhaust tread and it seems like all are very happy with the fit and installation ease of the STAN's system. I purchased the pinnicale power aka jardine exhaust and there 4" system is a 3" for about 3" then steps up to 3.5" and is that size until after the t-case and then steps up to 4" with no muffler and I spent around $300 for it but like I said before if I were to do it again I would go with the STAN's system.
