I've got the full Stan's system and the 4" dp fits beautifully! Plenty of clearance between it and the blower motor.

Or get the cast elbow from a 2nd gen and use a 2nd gen DP. 2nd gen tailpipe will work, too. I might even be cheaper to get the elbow and a whole 2nd gen turbo back system, then make a new intermediate pipe out of 45 degree mandrel bends.

Do a search on "cast elbow" and you'll see where several have done this.

It's what I plan to do when I free up a little cash for the elbows and get some other things done on the truck.

The search will also show where you can order them.

DRNCustoms, you can place wanted ad for one or get one off ebay, I bought both waste gated nonwaste gated off ebay for $20 not icluding shipping, usually they just laying around because people upgrade to a better turbo and need an hx40 style DP.

I want to get a second gen elbow for the simple ease of getting a downpipe, but I am the type that won't keep the stock style turbo on there for to long and will be hacking up my nice new exhaust that I fab up... So, If I get this 2nd gen cast elbow it will work only with this style turbo, do they have a different elbow that I can get that will work with the 2nd gen downpipe but be adaptable to a bigger turbo and my stock one, or am I asking way to muck..lol I just hate doing things twice

I can't find the number now, but Dodge or Cummins has them new. List is probably around $80 from Mopar. I have a hookup on Mopar parts, so I got it for less. The Mopar one comes in a Cummins box. So I am sure its cheaper to just by it from Cummins.

If I remember I will get the # this weekend.

Ebay would work too.

Here's some info and reading:

That's another reason I went with this setup. When you get an S300, HTB2, Super B, blah, blah, blah, you can just buy the "HX40 style" DP and swap it in.

does anybody know where you can get just the flange and 6 inches of the 2nd gen down pipe that seals to the cast elbow? I want to make my own 4" down pipe and i already have the cast elbow that v band clamps to the flange on my turbo. Thanks

I got the rip rook 4" DP for like $170. My total exhaust with the 4"DP, 4-5" adapter, pipe, hangers, 5" stack, mounts, everything was $300.
