4:10's to 3:55
hey, i have a pair of 3:55 geared axles sitting under my ramcharger that are out of my previous w250, i recently bought a 90 w250 and it has 4:10's with 38" tires, would the 3:55 geared axles be worth swapping into the 90 w250? will i gain more in fuel milage then having my 4:10's?
i have a 1991.5 w250 5 speed and i get 23-24 mpg with 3.55 i have a 1996 2500 4x4 with 4.10and i get 18 now that is p pumped so its not that same truck as the 91 and its also a auto but at 65 iin running 2000 rpm where with 355 im running less dont have a tach so cant give real numbers

38s and 3.55s, you will be using first gear a lot more, it won't be so much like a granny gear with that set up. Might actually get decent mileage around 80-85, thats about where mine starts dropping off rapidly with 33s and 3.55s.
