3rd Gen Wheels on an 88?

I'm selling my wheels and tires from my 2005, and somebody called me asking if they would fit a 3/4 ton 88'. I told them that I'm not sure, but I'll find out. Well guys help me out here. Are they the same bolt pattern?

Thanks alot fellas,
Nick

8 X 6.5 = yes. they might have to do some machining to get the rears to fit because of the drums, front calipers might hit as well

The 88 has 1/2" wheel studs. The 3rd gen trucks have 9/16" studs. The bolt pattern is the same but he will need to use tapered acorn type lug nuts and the center caps probably won't fit. Most of the center caps click onto a ridge on the lug nuts. Since the lugnuts won't fit the center caps won't either.

There are special tapered acorn/shouldered lug nut that are 1/2" I bought 32 of them for my chrome wheels so I could pt on the 2nd gen hubcaps, and they worked great. I don't have the pn on hand but dodge has them.

I heard that they had those but the pinheads at the local dealership couldn't find them for me so I gave up. If you ever find the part number let me know.

They will work on the rear axle, but they hit the ball joints on a 4X4. Greg ran into this problem.

Sweet! Finally got the right person. I posted questions about these lugs several times and nobody knew the part #. After spending a couple of weeks asking tire stores and the local dodge parts guys I gave up. They said that they weren't made anymore. I guess that I'll have to try to get my caps back.
I left them at a friends house in case somebody needed them since I couldn't use them. Hopefully he still has them laying around. Thanks Pepe.

glad to help hope it all works out. I still have my shouldered lug nuts on there but I have switched my wheels to aluminums and the caps don't fit anymore. Will need to turn down the ends of them to get a good fit, either way I am also capless at the moment.
