I suspect your throttle lever is on the shaft wrong. Remove it and turn the throttle lever shaft by hand. You are feeling for the gov' spring tension, just to the point of tension, then install the throttle lever back on to it's previous indexing. You did make note of that? A couple lines from the right is where I have seen them installed, including my own. That is standing in front of the truck facing it...

I was careful to index it properly but I'LL CHECK. Also the fuel volume goes up accordingly with the gas pedel.

to be sure, press the Skinny pedal all the way in while starting to test if your shaft indexing is correct.

I'll do that. It's kind of wierd. it seemed like the job easy. One more thing, now it has fuel coming from the throttle shaft could that be pulling in some air? but it seems like it's getting a lot of fuel through the injectors. thanks

Mine has poured a leak all winter and never hesitated to start.

BUT, you should pull the pump-top again, push out the throttle-shaft, and replace the little O-ring on it.

If it persists to leak after that, then you will probably need to replace the throttle-shaft bushing.

Its possible to disrupt the manual kill switch and have it not start. Happened to someone I know.
