3200rpm Governor Spring info needed

Hey guys. A buddy of mine has a 93 4x4 2500 ext cab longbed cummins. The previous owner had a boost gauge in it, and we turned up the fuel 1 and 1/2 turns a little while back. He can only make about 15PSI of boost, and the truck is pretty gutless. I think one of these 3200rpm springs would help his truck out a lot. How much is this spring and where can you get it? Is it just one spring or 2 or what? Where does it go in at? I saw a spring on the side of his pump with a little cover or something holding it on. Is this it? Also, how hard is it to put in, and are there any written instructions with pictures or anything? I also need to tweak with his AFC and fuel pin to help with some more power. I know on the 2nd gen's the Governor spring kit only makes more RPM's, and not really more power(made mine a lot more driveable), but it seems ive heard it make the 1st gen's turn more rpm's and gives them more power. Is this true? Also, i thought i heard you could get the spring at a Cummins dealer for like $12. If so, please let me know, and the part # if someone knows. He wants more power/soke but doesent want to spend a lot right now, so im gonna try to turn it on up some for him. Also, how much is an aftermarket fuel pin, and where csn you get them? Thanks

Eric

The spring is internal, you have to take the top of the pump off to get to it. Install takes about 2-3 hours. Part is about $12 and is available from Piers. I don't think it's on their website, you'll have to call or email them to get it. It doesn't actually give you more hp, it just extends your powerband. Instructions are here

Governor spring install instructions start at post 12. Well worth the time and money to install. It FEELS like it gives you more power, but it really doesn't.

AJ et all... Monty has been good enough to have a few things/articles/how to's/pics etc crossposted so that as many 1st Gen owners as possible can get a good cross section of info.
You can often find identical or even updated info by using the site's FAQ's and/or following links to fill in the blanks...
