3200 spring

I put a 366 spring in a little while ago. Wasnt too impressed. Wasnt revvin out like I thought she should.

Found a couple things.

1: Pedal wasnt pulling the throttle lever all the way open. Fixed that by changing the holes of the ball as described a few threads ago.

2: Turned my pump 1/2 turn from runnaway. Was about 1 turn short. Didnt make THAT much of a difference in power from where it was.

NOW i see what everybody was talking about with the 366 spring. Fuels hard untill about 90km/h in 3rd. Havent tried 4th and 5th cause of the pyro.

Havent had a chance to look at the pyro cause its dark and I was too lazy to hook up the gauge lights... Will follow up.

All in all: she sounds saa-weet windin out! -6s have a nice sound revvin out

You might get a bit more by backing out the high RPM stop.

mine revs out pretty good without the gov spring and with just having the linkage set right so I get full throttle.

I do however have 2 important things on order and shipped. A DennT pin and that gov spring. One other notable mention in my eyes is the 14cm ex. housing that's on its way too. A notable mention because the stock one on my truck is the 21 cm housing. Those 3 items should wake things up. I'm just eagerly awaiting their arrival!

Turning up your pump for sure helps. I get 50 more hp up top when my pump is maxed verses when it is a turn or two from runaway.

Be careful with that 14cm housing. A buddy of mine overspun his H1C with it. When he went to rebuild it, the mainshaft snapped because of excessive heat.

Rick 12v CTD, you're REALLY going to like those items! I just did them too, except 16cm. housing. that 21 prolly will be tight coming off, but it will. I was hesitant on doin my 366 but it turned out great. and DennyT, what can I say..... where was this thing when I first started bombing my truck? its great! just took the rig for a burn, in 4x4 its f-ing icy, I let it hit 75ish...without OD! huge difference overall.

Just to throw a stick in the spokes here.

One thing you guys are overlooking is fuel pressure/flow. The stock lift pump is adequate at best on a stock truck. Anything over that and i'll bet even with new stock lift pump you pull your pressure down to ZERO!! And when that happens you loose your internal case pressure which causes you to loose injection timing advance which causes you to loose HP.

Not to mention if you do it for long enough it can ruin your injection pump

I agree. When people start to add more fuel to the truck, I think they should also upgrade other parts of the fuel system. A piston pump, and bigger fuel lines will make the truck feel much more powerful.

Thats good you mentioned that. I have a fuel pressure guage. I also have a newer lift pump(30k) and a WOT I cant get it to fall under 5psi, which I thought was the min. press. acceptable. Soon as the dutchess aint looking though, Its getting a low press. piston LP.

As long as you have positive fuel pressure you won't hurt the pump.
