thats a fairly hefty spring to break. its the one that sits in the black plastic "cups", so to speak, correct? did it get twisted too much? where did it break?

did you check all around the engine compartment for the other spring? especially the lip that the oil pan is bolted to, lots of oily gunk that many items stick to and wont allow them to fall all the way to the ground.

I think you're referring to the breakover spring. You can call any Bosch shop and get it without too much trouble....
It's listed in the exploded view of pump as item #306- part number#1 464 651 430, "coiled spring".

While you're at it check the post on the plate that fits under it...it has a "post" that sits in the middle of those spring ends and it usually starts to wear thru over time..it is listed as:
..Item# 72- part # 1 461 901 489, "control lever".

Hope that helps ...

If pictures will help you can go here:

Look thru my picture gallery and confirm the items above.

pb....

just try to find any pump/turbo shop and they should be able to at least refer you to a shop. Around here the bosch shop is Central Motive Power.

Just call any diesel service shop (someone that works on big rigs and the like) and they should be able to refer you to a Bosch dealer/rebuilder for your parts. Not really in your area at all, but I've dealt with these people in the past: Wentland Diesel. Good luck.

Did you get the throttle shaft indexed wrong, or is the fuel screw backed out too far?
