i have a 2wd rag 5 speed that i bought to put in to one of my 2wd trucks but now i am just going to put it into my 4x4 what all would need to be changed to put into a 4x4 can i just change the tail shaft and run a devorse transfer case? or is it going to be easer for me to buy a 4x4 trans for the time being

4wd mainshaft and 4wd tailshaft. Requires a complete teardown and rebuild of the getrag.

 

Would a divorced case and drive lines be cheaper and more time friendly?

 

you would be adding more joint's to the system IE more to break

 

^plus have to make up a new mount for it.
