well ive been lookin at trading in my truck for a new 6.7 4x4 but long story short it is gonna be waaaay too much in payments because of negative equity and how much they want for my trade-in compared to the new truck. i really want a 4x4 so bad that im willing to trade my truck in for one LOL. i am toying with the idea of just converting my 2wd into a 4wd...anyone have an approximate idea of how much it would cost or if its even possible?

 

it would be cheaper to just buy one but you could find a wrecked 4x4 (cab damage without chassis damage) and do a cab swap.

 

Its possible.cost? A bunch! Even with a donner truck etc.Ruin the new truck you have.Ruin the resale or trade in on it also.

 

If you have to have 4WD then trade down in years, to a 1st or 2nd gen.

 

Sell yours outright.Trade money is the bottom of the barrel.I'm going to buy a 09 1/2 ton of someones and sell my 1998 outright for full clean retail.Have never traded in a vehicle.Then your suppose to buy at the very best deal you can squeeze.The differance is usually thousands of bucks.
