2nd gen 24 valve grid delete same as 1st gen? and what to do with wires?

Well I'm havin my brother make me a custom grid delete for my truck (I'll post pics when its done) I got all the measurements for him and he's buildin it since he works at a machine shop. I have a friend that wants one too and he has a 2nd gen 24 valve, and I was wondering if it is the same size and dimensions as a 1st gen one so I can have my brother make two? Also what do you guys do with the wires/connections that bolt to the grid heater when you put a grid delete on? do ya just wrap them with electrical tape and shove them or zip tie them out of the way? thanks in advance

i am almost certain all the grid heaters are the same because that would be the reason intake horns will interchange between the gens. as for the wires i would disconnect where they come from and keep them in a safe spot untill winter comes around. then just put them back on along with the heater.

I figured they were the same but wasn't quite sure, I wasn't sure if they were taller or shorter. Yeah I plan on puttin my grid heater back on in the winter time so I'll trace them and see where they go.

I looped the wires over the brake booster and put the ends under the existing wire loom. If you know they're there you see them, otherwise they're inconspicuous.

BTW the solenoids are a great place to get +12V.

You might consider disconnecting one of the small wires at these solenoids. This will keep them from activating automatically and making a wires hot in case they were to move.

Right ----
Forgot to mention that I disconnected both wires on both solenoids -
Taped them individually then together as a pair, then both pair together... Then carefully tucked them back against the fender under the wire bundle.
