Hey guys ive learnd a lot since those post months ago, thanks for all the answers to ignorant questions. That got a proj. built though- [my brotherinlaws] the engine is built and we went with a 727 its being built this week. Its going into a 91 short bed chevy that he plans to drive every now and then on the street. Its being tubbed now and the wheels and tires just came in couple days ago. 15x14 rear and 16x7 in the front with get this: 33x15.50 tsl's mudders in the rear. He went this way to hope to have something to work on the street but hopfully wide enough to work on the track as well? Thier big and heavy! Im nearly done with mine as well we will both be at the track before long. If interested in mine you could check it out over in the conversion section. I type to slow to talk about it any hear! ha ha .. any thing new out that he can do to his 93 12v we did about all we new about a few months ago and at least on the road it felt unreal, but he didnt want to go to the track untell its at home in this 1/2 ton chevy. We now it needs bigger injectors and the 4k springs insted of the 3200 that we installed, any thing else you can recommend??? Thanks guys this 12v engines are something else...

some dont like it but i would use a reverse pattern manual valvebody. i have been running one for over 20k with no problems street and strip. then you wont have any problems with throttle pressure linkage malfunctions.

If you're going to go with the 4K, you'll need to upgrade your springs and retainers otherwise you'll drop a valve. Also, if it is a drag vehicle, I would run Sportsman Pro's....they'll last on the street for a year or two and hook like mad.

We both got the 60# springs on order and are doing studs, .20 marine gasket and the springs to turn more r's but why are you saying that it will drop a valve with out changing the retainers? The 4k gsk was no prob. finding for my p-pump but having trouble finding it for his ve. Any other advise or exp. for the dropped valve comment? Thanks
