Well if i had the 3200 spring in it so that i wasn't defulling just as it started to pull..........there is a lot of ET that could be shave off.

It's going to be real interesting to See what kind of a ET my truck will produce with a 12cm housing and a intercooler.

My truck really runs strong in the winter but summmer............................It just a dog above 60*


As far as David gos(BC847)...........I beleve his truck ran a 8.81

I've had 2 timeslips that say 8.58 @ 82 mph in the 1/8 with the Getrag which resulted in a 13.39 @ 103.1 and a 13.34 @ 102.9.
Will be looking for 12s next spring.

 

8.5s with a getrag 360 5 speed. In your sig whats that about a 1/2 pickup, ? And in your turbo description is that one or twins?

 

GLHS, Good numbers. Are those your best 1/8 mile times ? The reason I ask is I went down the track for the first time this year only made 3 passes. I couldn't get the tranny to shift into O/D but I had some real good 1/8 mile times 8.36, 8.41, 8.86 . I was defueling at the end of the 1/4 to many rpms. Any guess as to what i might have ran if I had o/d ?

 

Whats a H1C, whos turbo is that and what size is it? You said defueling, was it gear bound in 1.1 370's is that your injectors ,what do they rate them as hp wise over stock? And what auto trans. is this, isnt there a auto w/o overdrive just a plain ol 3 speed if so whats it called?

Dlittle; Your time would probably be close to mine.
If I had to guess, your auto 60 foot time is probably way better than mine which is why your faster in the 1/8. I would also guess your mph is a little slower and we would probably even out at the end.
My best 60' times are a lousy 1.94 and 1.95.
I usually gain 21-22 mph from the 1/8 mile.

I was stuck in 3rd 1.1 no O/D stock a518 with shift kit and suncoast converter.
370 injector are from New ERA Diesel and are a little bigger then stock 5x12 they dont give a HP rating on them.

 

Thanks for the info when we brake the getrag i wanted to go to a auto, a518 ill start looking around for one, do you know what years truck they came behind? I mean how many years and what years, where all the 1st gen autos 3 speed?

 

The a518 is a (4sp) auto what DLittle is saying is that it didn't shift into overdrive with his foot to the floor. It stayed in 3d (1.1) and refueled because it was trying to over rev, the eng

Ill do it, i hear a lot about the track but never been there. I reg. do this tracks out east of dallas. Redline-cedercreek-or even prairiehill, all do diesel drags. Ill be putting my con fe in this wed. and be ready to try her out as well. I have a 6 spd. i fiq. ill be somewhere in the 8's but know idea where. Kenadale is out near grand prairie right? wheres cresson and what numbers do you think youll be putting down?

 

stock600 the a528 auto was only in intercolled first gens.it was a 4 spd overdrive trans found in 91.5 (when intercooler was introduced) to 93.The 3spd trans was discontinued behind the cummins when dodge dropped the intercooler in in '91.5.

 

Look for a few 1st gens to be pretty darn quick this coming year...I for one am going to spray the snot out of mine and see what she'll do
