1st Gen VE Pump

1st Gen VE Pump

I just recently picked up a 1993 w250 ctd. and I think the VE Pump has already been altered and I was wondering if anybody new how and had picturesa to turn it back down to stock.

What makes you think it was tweaked? Prolly best indicator would be the lock collar on the fuel screw. If it's still there, good chance you're looking at a virgin pump.

Yeah, unless you have boost and pyrometer on there, it's hard to tell what has been done to it. If it has gauges, average max is 1200EGT, 14-18psi boost.

My 92 W250 would make 30psi boost, and still had the lock collar on the full fuel screw, so even that isnt always a good indicator.

Why do you want to turn it back to stock? Or is this a company truck with less than mature employees driving it?

I am turning my 99 into a drag truck and my 93 is my daily driver and it has over 200,000 miles and I need it to last as long as possible. I don't need two project trucks. Im im the military and im not rich.

There is no thing as stock. All pumps are calibrated at the factory and all setting are different. If it is not blowing black smoke then leave it alone, but if you want it back to stock then take off the pump and have it calibrated at a pump shop.
