I think Rastus is my truck's twin. Minus the door hinges of course. And the hood ornament.

Talking

I don't think the door was completely closed but he was getting a little saggy, like his owner.

This is Geronimo.

I built the stainless brush guard and the aluminum flatbed. There's also a 1-ton capacity crane on the bed, which you can sort of see peeking over the headache rack.

I've since added two cab clearance lights (yes only two, they're actually 1968 Volkswagen bug front turn signals... lots 'o chrome), and a rear-pointing spotlight on top of the headache rack, and a lot of dirt. Maybe I'll get a more current pic up here sometime soon.

Does Rastus have F-250-350 factory wheels on her? I've seen a set for sale here locally off a 2005, will they fit a 1st gen?

No, 99 and up superduty wheels are a metric bolt battern- 8x165mm i believe. We have 8x6.5. The older body style ford alcoa wheels will fit however, many people on here run those.

The wheels on Rastus are Mickey Thompsons I bought used that came off a '93 Dodge W250...they wouldn't fit a 2nd Gen. so the 'ol boy sold them to me.

I thought about posting pics of my truck but after seeing the rest of your trucks I don't lnow if I should. I think my truck has to be the roughest one on here. I'm in the process of trying to find body parts for it so it can look as good as it runs. I will post some pics so you all can have a good laugh. That is as soon as I wire the corner of my one fender back on.

We won't laugh! We love all first gens, especially those with the really good stories to tell.
