1st gen boat video

This is just too cool. Found it over on Dieselgarage. Apparently the 'grin' factor applies to marine applications as well

that is sweet, how bout this though for an idea, why not add in the drive line, a constantly variable transmission, like a snowmobile output. Basically weight spun changes contact area of a belt drive, changing ratio of output. not strong enough to rely on for a boat? ok, triple them up, three belts all on their own set of pullies. plenty of grunt off the line, and plenty of top end torque to get that boat, or any boat, up to some serious speed via killer prop rpm. I been wanting to try this in a jet ski for years, just no shop or money to try, don't have a wiggs spending budget to play with.

Awesome. Maybe I can fab a twin set for him, add huge injectors, and make that boat pull hard?

Just shows that these motors are built to work hard.
