I remember reading a thread somewhere about a 1st gen (possibly a 2wd crewcab) having the front frame section spliced in from a 2nd gen. Can't find it again. Difficult terms to search for... tried a lot.

Anyone know what I'm talking about?

That's the one. I've seen some Ramchargers kicking around locally. I bet they'd ride nice with a 2nd-gen suspension

 

Not to kill your buzz here but how you gonna make the front drive line do a 45* angle from the passenger side to the drive side?

 

Would require a left drop t-case. Good ride and good exhaust clearance
