I have a friend that has a First Generation SRW truck that I may buy and I want to know if I can swap over my suspension (both front and rear) from my 2nd Gen DRW? This would include the front A-Arms, Spindles, Hubs and Rotors and the complete Rear Axle Assy.

My truck is dead in the water and I really want to keep the Dually for the safety factor for pulling my large horse trailer.

What other parts are interchangeable from the 1st and 2nd Gen trucks?

Not overy much is. So you wanna strip down a working second gen to build up a firsf gen with the bouncy second gen suspension. Short answer yes would it be worth it not really. Selling the second gen and do drw swap on the first gen and a two inch skyjacker lift for the ride would be ny choice or even better theres a company called alcan springs they can make first gen leafs to make em ride better.

 

the rear axle will swap relatively easily. Front, all you need is the dually adapters for the front to utilize dually wheels.

I honestly have no clue what you just wrote me because you may not have understood what I wrote!

My 2nd Gen Truck DOES NOT RUN!

I want to turn a First Gen Truck into a DRW using the running gear from my 2nd Gen truck either parts of it or all of it. If I need to swap springs I will if not I will just swap the rear axle etc.

why not just swap the engine into the 2nd gen? It HAS to ride better than the 1st does.....
