I still remember when I was 16 and was washing parts for Danny Barthelemew, arguably the best mechanic St. Cloud, MN has ever known. I asked him one day why we painted the engine we were rebuilding a bright color. He said, "So you can see the oil leaks if any."

Good idea on these durned Dodge steering sectors.

In other news I bought whats left of a 1992 W250 CTD parts truck. Club Cab LE, A/T, 167K, 3.54 rears. It was hit on the front left corner and spaghettied the frame. The cab has some rust but much less than mine. It also has half of a tan interior. Mine is red and I hate it. I hope to start rolling on mine pretty soon. That way Ollie, NJTman, the dude in the Viking helmet, and the rest of the DTR folks can see it in person at Carlisle next summer.

Around here the king pin Dana 60's sell in the $750 range. I have a bit less into the whole truck and it was only about 10 miles away. I plan to keep the rears as spares or rebuild them as time and money allow while I drive on the current rears.
It's good to be back on the forum. I've been pretty busy lately. If it ain't one thing it's another.

That's my paint scheme. I've not been able to find the code or match it yet. I think the interior color is spice? WAY better than the red in my opinion.

You made a good score there.

I HATE the red interior but Club Cabs don't show up around here too often and my project truck was a mile away from my house.

Yeah Cows, I couldn't pass it up. I'll probably go through some of the parts that I don't need off it and offer them to people on DTR first.

If it is the spice interior, it is hard to find but a nice color, I think.
The standard tan is much lighter and shows dog drool more.
I only have a few spice interior ex cab pieces, but let me know what your missing if you need something.

Nice looking cab you scored even better with spare axles and driveshafts as well.

I'll have my eyes peeled for it at the show.

Thanks Ollie. For the moment I'm missing the door panels, kick panels and dash in the spice color. Make you a screamin' deal on some red ones! I like the color wayyyyy more than the red. The drive shafts are for an A518 so they won't bolt right up but there i a good driveline place that could re-lengthen them for me if needed.

I know have a spice dash that I stashed on my top shelf in the garage a few years ago.
I think I have both door panels as well, but the drivers side might be missing an armrest.
I will look around my collection a little when I get a chance.
I am guessing you need electric windows for the door panels as most '92/'93 Ex cabs are fully loaded LEs?

I have the interior 99% stripped out of the parts truck. The only remaining pieces are the carpeting around the back area of the Club Cab. It appears to be glued on. I pulled the interior because of the rust work that I need to do for the cab mounts. I also needed to pull the headliner to re-upholster it. I plan on bed lining the cab floor then lining the floor and rear wall with Dynamat.
I found a tan dash out of a 1985 RC that I am going to see if I can make it work. I'd basically just be using the shell.
I found some kick panels in the junkyard that are a very faded tan. I might try to repaint them.
I also pulled the rear diff cover and confirmed that the gears are 3.54's. There is also a Pow'r Lok hiding in there! Needs rebuilt but still pretty cool.

looks like you are on your way to a good winter project.
Powerlock is a big plus. I lost mine in the swap so at some point I will be hunting a pair down. knowing me it will be a piece at a time.

I just picked up a complete '92 W-250 with clean interior, it is a reg cab LE with the SPICE interior, the sheet metal is crap though.
Let me know what interior stuff you might need me to bring down to Pa.
