1992 gas nv4500

Hi guys, first off I hope everyone has a safe and happy new years.

I have a buddy who has a low mileage gas nv4500 from a 1992 w350 gas (TBI360). Whats needed to convert that tranny into a heavy duty nv4500 for a diesel?

Also is the frame on a 1992 W350 gas truck 11" tall or 8"? Thank you

I'm not sure on the conversion but if you're planning on going through it why not just throw a fully splined billet mainshaft in there and call it good? Do the gassers have a 10 spline 1-1/4" input?!

Never heard of the 11" frame, for sure would have the 8". I have a 1992 Diesel W350 and it has the standard 8" frame just like my old 1993 W250.

Cat I dont believe they do. I think the gas clutch is a smaller spline with a higher spline count.

Your 92 gas truck should have the 8 in frame also my 85 crewcab frame is less then 1/4 in smaller then the 93 drw frame I had IMO the frame will hold with no troubles
