1991 W250- Which cabs and front clips will work?

I have a 1991 W250 Regular cab that I would like to swap out the cab and front clip on. Disregarding the variations in the grilles and such, what years can I use to interchange parts? I plan on having it a flatbed so I'm not interested in the box.

This is my first Dodge product ever so I don't know much of anything about what changed over the years. There are 2 possible parts trucks I have my eye on right now- 1988 W250 and a 1984 D150. Both are regular cabs like mine. They all look more or less the same to me but I want to make sure they are compatible.

I am not real concerned with my 1991 not looking like a 91 ie- grille, hood ornament, etc; I can deal with that stuff later. Right now I just want to know what parts I can use so I can start narrowing my search.

is your '91 intercooled? If so, you must use that grille/core support. After that, anything earlier than, I think, 83, will have slightly different body lines, but since you're going flatbed, you can pretty much slap whatever cab on there you want.

'81 and up all have the same body lines. The magor differences are the position of the head light buckets on the '81 -91 (also different grills) and the door latches, hood hinges are different thru the years as well.
Look on my pics I have an intercooler behind an '83 grill mounted on a '92 core support. The '86-'91 grills would need too much triming to look good.
All that being said, you can use any year cab, doors, fenders, ('81-'93) as replacements but keep the Hardware (hinges, latches ect..) from the year you want to maitain

There were some body changes in '85, all things being equal I'd use the '88.

cab swap

I just did a cab swap on my 90 w250 I used a cab from a 93 d250 the only difference is the trans hump in the floor 4wd has a larger hump 2wd has the small hump all u have to do is relocate the hole for thr 4wd shifter also when I did the swap I kept the dashboard from the old cab and installed it in the new cab because of the vin number.
