Eventually. As soon as I get the mechanical stuff worked out I will start on the body.I have all new fairchild door rubber.

 

I think my truck had the same factory paint as yours

All went well considering how much I changed at one time. Hydroboost worked good solid pedal and stopped with little effort. the steering is a bit touchier but has a much solider feel. The boost gauge doesn't work for some reason.

I was having a hard time getting it to idle like I would like before the voyage so I wrote it off as old fuel. When we started it wanted to idle anywhere from 600 to 1000 RPM whenever it felt like it. About half way through the trip it went to a consistent 1200 RPM which though annoying was consistent.

With all the changes it will take some getting used to. Do I like it? Hell YES!

When you touch almost every single bolt and work on something off and on again for years, you are likely to find some stuff that needs attention after the first drive.

Boost gauge started working on the trip back from taking the wife to work. must have just been stuck.

 

Right on, Mark....so, if Papecats following this, when is the next get together? I want to see first hand, those darn brake lines you fabbed up, LOL!

 

looking a little more like a whole truck. still needs a good couple washings but is getting better
