1990 D250 to W250
I started to do the 1 ton brake conversion and found new 3/4 ton shoes and wheel cylinders. I also found really bad wore out wheel bearings and cruddy everything.

Sort of a disappointment as I was thinking all I would need were seals just in case. Since this is our "big bill paycheck" I have a couple weeks to get it all cleaned up and ready for bearings. I did manage to get the drums turned and pick up some needed supplys to clean things up paint.

I had a 601 Jonsered chain saw that I ran almost daily for years. It lost it's goody over time and I tore it down to see what was wrong. I replaced all the gaskets and crank seals, and put it back to work. It literally wore out the crankcase gasket. That saw was a screamer in it's day.

I got my rear brakes put together today. I can't get the automatic adjusters to work right though. It appears the tabs that engage the adjuster are too high and just skipping across the teeth. I think I can fix that though.
Once I swapped them around I also found that they wouldn't hold the star adjust tight...they were worn out. So bought a couple new ones and they work great now.
There are left and right sided, and can also be installed backwards. Really look at them and think about how they function...I had the same problem, and once I figured out how they worked, I discovered i had them on the wrong sides...which was the sides I pulled them from, so previous workmanship.

They are on the sides that are marked on them. they just aren't low enough.
I played with them for a while and got them to work manually so something isn't quite right. I am going to try the old tabs when it quits raining. It looks like the cables are just a little too short or the tabs aren't made right.
