1974 d300 dually cummins/4x4 conversion completed!
thanks cmcr0703! the tires are 255/100/r16. 36" tall and 9" wide. the fronts are just temporary...."ford" rims untill my order arrives for the front 1 ton adapters then I will get the front tires switched to the 1 ton wheels. I also ordered 1 1/2 " steel spacers, not aluminum.. with 5/8s studs for the rears as there just a few cm's away from touching each other as it is right now which is no good. the tires are a Michelin xzl clone by a overseas company called yellowsea. I'm actually very impressed with them. there better on the road than my real xzl tires which costed a hell of a lot more. the tires are for sale in Vancouver under Vancouver Craigslist title "xzl clone"
BD......love the truck, I love the bird bath hoods.
I also did a dually conversion on a W250 and had trouble finding the
front adaptors, but now it has grown on me and I like it better with SRW
fronts.

I'm in awe of your truck. I have a '78 D300 crew cab that will get an intercooled Cummins someday. My questions concern the grill, the intercooler, and the a/c condenser. How did you make them fit? Everything I've ever read says it can't be done because it's too tight. Is it really as simple as cutting and welding the headlight buckets to mate with the intercooled core support?
Personally I prefer the single front end better. I've never liked dually rims on the front. How well did the box line up with the cab? It is the 93 cab and a 74 box correct? I know of a few older boxes around here but I didn't know if the body lines would match
