17 x 8 aluminum wheels
I have a question for some of you guys. How well will 17 x 8 aluminum wheels with 4.5 backspace (0 offset) work on a 78 W200?? Dad is looking at a set for his.

17x9 with 4.5" backspace is "0" offset. 9/2=4.5
17x8 with 4.5" backspace has more than "0" offset.
Modern wheels and alloys all have too much backspace for our trucks. It will effectively narrow the track of the vehicle and cause some clearance issues at full bump.
