factory aluminum wheels ??

were that available on the 97 rigs ?? i really like the look of the factory wheels and would like to get a set 4 my truck. any1 know where a set is 4sale that is a direct bolt up for a 97 ?? theres a set on ebay but 4 an 01 i think and i dont want to get into grinding the brake drums down...thanks guys, scott

Brake size was not increased until mid year 98, so anything later would be larger. The 01 wheels should be just fine if you are still running 16". The problem is when you would drop to a 15". Or on an 03 and later below a 17".

You will need to machine the back lip of the drums. I took 50k off the drums of the truck to get my new 2001 alloy wheels to fit my 97. It is well worth the effort to make them work.
