my take on the draw straw

since its in my fuel pressure guage seams 2-4 psi lower

i wanted to use the factory sump for two reasons.
i didnt want shavings in my tank from the hole saw and i liked the idea of pre filter screen.

i figure the bottom float and sump being on a "slide" is for water in the tank which the draw straw would have sucked up anyway

and morons installing it and it not being at the bottom.

more of reason one

now you can tell from the pics what i did but here is a basic review.

remove.
gut
drill hole for straw.
bend VERY gently. i used slight heat notice my torch in the back ground.
install to verify length X2 check
cut straw to length
put the pre filter screen on
run some line

Looks good
Where did you get the top "bung"?
Did you do a test to see if what ever the epoxy is will hold up to diesel?

its milled.

the supply has a decent 90* turn inside then conncts to the straw and has the fip 1/2" threads

and the return drops into the tank same threads.

why drill seperate supply and return holes/fittings when not needed

That's exactly what my guess was. Just thought I'd ask first. Right on!
