15 inch exhaust!
Yup, finally did it... tight turn 3.5 inch pipe through a glasspack muffler and out of the hood.
less than $100 invested, now i just gotta get the hood looking a little better. i would also like to find a smaller rain cap.
EDIT: forgot to even mention. It's not even as loud as some stacked trucks i've ridden in. driving with the drivers window down is not problem, no smell. i've not had the passenger down but it's a pain to get back up. i will continue to update, especially if a local officer has a problem with it

I like it! So simple. I hope it doesn't blacken the windshield. Fun to watch the smoke and the cap go flap flap. Will the hood open without hitting the cap?
That Rhino body is cool too. The paint on my '93 was just flying off and That seems lie a good solution.

I am impressed. So many talk about doing and so few really get'er done. Now what do the local law enforcement fellows think about that. I know in Virginia I wouldn't get very far before one of our boys in uniform would be asking for my donation to the Policeman's Ball.

Why would you get a ticket for that. Does your state have that restrictive of exhaust laws.

timb, i think technically the federal laws for exhaust state that it must terminate above/next to/ or behind the cab. i could throw a 2 ft extention easily to get it above the cab but in the right mood an officer could easily give me a ticket for obstructing my vision. so we'll see. i've talked to a few and they didn't seem to care that's why i'm giving it a shot.
The muffler has 3.5 inlet/outlet but the center if the glasspack is 5inch. i made the opening in the hood 6inch and the hood will open about 3/4 of the way before it would come in contact with the stack. the first gen hood sort of lifts straight up with the way the "hinges" are set up, towards the top of the travel the back of the hood swings more sharply to the front. if i could have gotten in about 2 inches lower the hood probably would have opened without hitting anything. i believe it will open all the way pushing a little on the stack but i have to line the hold in the hood with something first so i don't scratch the paint off the stack.
