Gen1 transmission swap

I have a 93 12 valve with a 5 speed manual transmission. I am wanting to put a 6 speed out of a 2003, 1 ton. Will it bolt up or is there an adapter that I have to buy? How tough is the project?

It will not just bolt up.
They take different adapter plates and starters.

To really answer that question, I would need more info....
