yet another fuel stop solenoid ?
i just burnt out the relay again. i am not sure if the first one was stock or replaced by po. i cleaned it up and replaced the boot but maybe the solenoid is getting weak or something. i thought about getting a new relay, but then i also thought about a cable too after reading many posts. my question is has anyone done this or thought about this. i put the test light in the pull wire and nothing so i jumped a wire from + battery post. it pulled up no problem. i sat around and thought what if i put a push button starter switch in there. anyone ever think of that or try it. i just might be the guinea pig cause 4 months for a new relay just ain't gonna cut it.

THere is a blue fusible link that is connected to the battery on a dark blue wire to the red/blk wire on terminal 30 of the relay which is the power to turn on the "Hold" coil of the fuel solenoid. It feeds the relay 12v on relay term 30 and when the relay energizes relay term 87 feeds the hold coil of fuel solenoid. Look at this schematic:

I'd take a look at it since its prone to failure and connection can get corroded. Sometimes it fails internally and you can't see it. You can get them at the link above for $13.95 (and also the relay) or here:

You might also try the diode from foster truck or geno's which prevents starter failure feedback destroying the fuel solenoid.
